Our Mission for 2009 FEB 2009
By Bonnie Pfiester
As most of you know by now, Longevity has expanded. Steve & I have purchased another health club, called Longevity Max.
Over the years our members and community have shared their desire for a coed fitness center so we could help our members husbands, friends and children. We heard your concerns and have taken the plunge in hopes of making even more of a difference in our community.
As we take on another facility we wanted to share our hearts and desire for 2009 for our current Longevity members.
First, we want you to know that every penny that comes into Longevity Fitness Club & Spa (for women) will go back in to Longevity Fitness Club & Spa. We commit to protecting what we have built at Longevity with everything we have. Every penny of profits will continue to go back into the club - continuing to maintain, repair and upgrade as we can afford it.
Secondly,
we want you to know Steve and I hold Longevity and our members very
close to our heart. What you say and how you feel matters to us very
much. We LOVE serving you and offering a safe place where you can feel
comfortable and cared for.
We also have learned in these short few weeks how demanding the initial stage of opening a second facility has been for us. Soon, we be spending ample time at both clubs in order to maintain good service, offering the personal touch only an owner can do.
Lastly, we need your support and trust. Sometimes during growth, members are fearful of being forgotten or attention being diverted to a new program or facility. With all the recent reality TV projects Steve has done, we realize TV stuff comes and goes. What’s most important to us is Longevity. Longevity is our life, our future and where our passion is.
I want to reassure you that we are more committed than ever. With two clubs to run, our roots just grow deeper. In addition, my entire family moved here so they could be a part of the Longevity quest. That’s just how important Longevity is to us.
YOU are the reason we are in Vero Beach. YOU are the reason we wake up in the morning. YOU are what matters most. Without YOU, there is nothing. We are here for YOU.
A Round of Applause
I would also like to take this time to brag on our incredible staff. There is absolutely NO WAY, we could grow without our special employees - and we couldn’t have them without you. Your membership is personally responsible for our employees’ security. It’s because of your commitment, dedication and loyalty that we haven’t had to cut back or lay anyone off so I thank you for continuing to make Longevity your fitness home.
Erin, our club manager, has juggled having a baby while continuing to manage the office and staff without a hitch. She has shown more love and commitment for our Longevity family than we could ever hope for. Keri has worked so hard so hard to keep this place clean. Tom (dad) has worked his fingers to the bone in order to keep up with the repairs of Longevity while working overtime to help us get the new club up and running. I can’t thank him enough. Members, if you feel you haven’t been seeing him as much lately, it’s only because he’s been working at lightening speed as he flies like a super hero around the club. His commitment to you ladies blows me away. We hardly have one moment without him bringing up his concerns and desires to better serve YOU.
Then there are our amazing trainers and instructors. They have made us
SO incredibly proud! It is such a joy to know we have a staff full of
people who really sincerely LOVE what they do. I am in awe of the time
they put in research and planning for classes and training. Steve and
our boot camp trainers have helped build the most amazing boot camp
program in the country. I get emails from across America asking about
our program. People have traveled from all places just to workout at OUR
club. That’s YOUR gym.
Finally, our girls! The sweet faces that greet you or take care of your children. I couldn’t ask for a better family. I am proud to say we have the some of the sweetest staff around. Every time I go somewhere and get poor service I’m reminded of how blessed we are! I know we all make mistakes and no one is perfect, but to know we have a staff full of people who are honest, sincere, genuine and caring – means the world. I am so incredibly proud of all of you! Thank you for all you do!

RELAY FOR LIFE – April 3, 2009, Kick off at 6PM
RELAY FOR LIFE
Cancer
probably has affected all of us in one way or other. My grandfather died
of bone & lung cancer and my mother is a breast cancer survivor. I have
found the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a great way we can
all come out and show our support – AND get a workout too!
Join our Longevity team online and get a FREE T-Shirt! Longevity will have a booth at the event and will be raising funds the next two months. You can donate online, buy a star or moon to display at the front desk or participate in our various fundraisers going on over the next few weeks.
We have already raised more funds than ever before – thanks to Leah and the staff! The Longevity girls have worked hard to make this our best year ever. Way to go Longevity!

Longevity & Max Dual Membership
The
Companies will keep both clubs separate in order to prevent
overcrowding at either club. If Longevity members want to join
Longevity Max too, it is only $14.99/month where Longevity Max
members would have to pay $24.99/month to use Longevity. As we
learn how to operate the two clubs, we will work hard to use the
growth to benefit both sets of members.
A
Little About Max
Before we bought Longevity Max, World Gym started expanding -
taking over the space where New Life Rehab formerly did
business. This space is now a new aerobics room, boot camp room,
abs room and large childcare area. Longevity Max offers aerobics
classes, boot camp, childcare, protein smoothies, personal
training and massage.
What
is the difference between the clubs? LOTS! Longevity’s aerobics
program is much larger and offers more of a fitness variety
specific to women. Longevity Max offers more equipment for
weight training and personal training. Our desire is to keep
Longevity exclusively for women and continue offering the same
services while keeping Longevity Max a coed center with more
focus on meeting couples and new families’ needs.
FREE PASSES ARE AVIALABLE UPON REQUEST FOR YOU & YOUR FRIENDS
